storming.team

You have been invited to Storming. Here is what you get out of it and what happens to your answers.

What you get

A profile of how you work

You get your profile on the five broad personality dimensions, explained in everyday language, with a note on how precisely each score was measured. Usually you would only get a report like this through paid coaching.

Working better with one particular colleague

If things keep snagging with someone on your team, the two of you can open a shared pair view. You both read the same observations: where your working styles differ and what you might agree on. That gives the conversation a factual starting point.

Your view of the team culture counts

On the culture map your answer carries the same weight as everyone else’s. That shows where people on the team expect different things, even if nobody has raised it in a meeting yet.

Development goals you help write

You write your development goals together with your lead, in rungs that can be observed in daily work, and you record progress with dated examples. That way your next review rests on more than whatever someone happens to remember.

What happens to your answers

You see your results straight away.
As soon as you finish the questionnaire you can look at your profile. What you share, and with whom, is up to you.
Your lead sees what you share with them.
Without a share, your lead does not see your profile. You choose part by part who may see it, and you end a share whenever you like. Your account always shows what you have shared with whom and who accessed it when.
Pair views stay between the two of you.
What is analysed between you and one other person is seen only by the two of you. The view only exists once you have both agreed to it.
Shares can be ended.
When you end a share, anything derived from it is deleted too, such as the observations in a pair view.
There are no grades.
Storming gives no scores and builds no rankings. The system cannot calculate such values at all.
You are asked about how you work and how you see the team.
The basis is the Big Five model from personality research, plus questions on your team’s culture and climate. Intelligence, mental health and job performance are not part of it.
Taking part is voluntary.
If you don’t fill in the questionnaire, your lead is not notified.
You can take your data with you or delete it.
You can export your data or delete your account for good at any time, without needing your lead’s approval.
Questions you can ask.
To your lead, to HR or to us: What is your team using Storming for? Who approved introducing it? What happens to your data if you leave the team?

We are happy to answer questions directly at hello@storming.team. Full details on data protection are on the Trust page.
